Qualifications

• 2 years’ mechanical work experience and/or 1 year technical training.
• Certifications including QMP, Locomotive Maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
2. Assist other skilled employees in repairing FrontRunner locomotives, cabs, and systems, including electric, pneumatic, HVAC, passenger amenities, communication, air brakes, cab controls, electrical, and diesel engines.

Pay Rate:

$26.52 - $30.52 per hour plus shift differential, with a four-year wage progression.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ mechanical work experience and/or 1 year technical training.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, inspection, repair techniques, and electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical theories.
• Ability to pass standardized tests and demonstrate competence in computer systems, including Outlook.
• Ability to work safely on energized equipment up to 480 VAC and 600 VDC.
• Certifications including QMP, Locomotive Maintenance, and operation of various shop equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, working in various weather conditions, and working at heights.
• Valid Utah driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to acquire and maintain necessary certifications and tools.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
