Job summary

Newburyport Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to deliver exceptional customer service, assess financial needs, and promote bank products across branch channels.

You will open consumer and business accounts, process deposits and loan payments, and maintain accurate records with strong cash handling, while following bank policies. Evening/weekend availability and work across multiple market locations are required.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Bank products and services, including cross-selling and referrals.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships through in-branch interactions, outbound calls, and business development initiatives.
• Open consumer and business accounts, CDs, and other Bank products with accurate documentation and system entry.
• Process a variety of transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, official checks, money orders, mailed deposits, and other customer requests.
• Follow all branch policies and procedures related to operations, cash handling, compliance, audits, opening/closing, vault/ATM management, and balancing.
• Provide exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to support customers' financial needs.
