Qualifications

• 1–2 years of teller, banker, or equivalent retail banking experience preferred
• At least 6 months cash handling experience
• Proficient with technology and digital banking services; comfortable with tablets and smartphones

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer experience by accurately processing transactions and opening new accounts
• Engage customers with financial conversations to identify banking needs and match BankNewport solutions
• Meet individual and branch sales goals through proactive prospecting and customer interactions
• Markets a full range of consumer and small business banking services to existing customers and prospects
• Open consumer and small business accounts, originate and close loans, and handle account maintenance and inquiries
• Utilize CRM and onboarding processes to ensure excellent customer experiences
• Resolve customer issues with effective follow-up and satisfaction
• Advise customers on Digital Banking channels and services (ATM/PTM, mobile banking, bill pay, Zelle)
• Adhere to bank policies, procedures, audits, regulatory and security guidelines
• May support supervisory tasks as assigned by Branch Manager
• Process ATM work or vault cash and provide coverage as needed
• Complete required trainings and perform related duties as needed
