Job summary

City of SeaTac's Recreation Division seeks a Recreation Leader 3 to plan and lead community programs for youth, teens, adults, and seniors. You’ll supervise Recreation Leaders 1 & 2, ensure welcoming facilities, and support events and partnerships.

Role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, and valid WA driver’s license. CPR/First Aid within 30 days is required, with a focus on safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of community recreation experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License by date of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan, and implement recreational and educational classes, activities, and events.
• Lead groups across multiple age ranges and populations; guide staff.
• Prepare facilities, set up equipment, and maintain inventory.
• Safely transport participants using City vehicle and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Perform clerical duties, scheduling, and record-keeping; support program operations.
