Job summary

City of SeaTac is seeking seasonal Recreation staff to plan and coordinate indoor and outdoor activities for youth and families. The role involves leading Recreation Leader 1 staff, ensuring safety, and assisting with equipment and grounds maintenance.

Position requires at least 18 years of age and at least 6 months of related experience in community recreation or education programs. First Aid and CPR capabilities are expected; you may be required to obtain them within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
• Six (6) months related work experience preferred in community recreation or education programs.
• Combination of experience and training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate indoor and/or outdoor recreational activities including special events, playground activities and camps.
• Lead groups in arts and crafts, field trips, sports and a variety of programs.
• Provide direction to Recreation Leader 1 staff.
• Coordinate with City personnel for scheduling and facility use.
• Maintain records and assist in writing periodic reports.
• Keep facilities and grounds neat, clean and litter-free; perform custodial/maintenance duties.
• Provide information to the public about programs, regulations, and schedules; answer inquiries in person or by phone.
• Render routine First Aid and administer CPR as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
