Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a part-time Community Programs Support Specialist at the Community Education Center in Ogden, UT. This student role supports the Conversation Partners program, volunteer management, and ESL outreach, working with program managers to coordinate activities.

Must be work-study eligible, bilingual in Spanish and English, and available Saturday mornings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer & Participant Management: Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and communicating with volunteers and participants in the Conversation Partners program.
• ESL Outreach Support: Help coordinate public outreach initiatives for English as a Second Language classes, including distributing program materials and engaging with community members.
• Program Operations & Logistics: Support setup, room arrangements, materials preparation, and teardown for Saturday morning sessions and weekday evening activities.
• Administrative & Data Entry: Maintain participant rosters, log volunteer hours, trace attendance, and enter data into center databases.

Community Programs Support Specialist assists in the operations, coordination, and volunteer management of the Community Education Center’s Conversation Partners program and supports the English as a Second Language public outreach initiatives. Working closely with full-time program managers, this student role plays a vital part in volunteer management, participant communication, administrative support, and data tracking.
