Job summary

Acacia Network in New York City seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead operations staff, security and maintenance, ensuring daily schedules and coverage for unscheduled absences. The role emphasizes training new staff and enforcing policies.

You will monitor residents, facilities, and safety procedures, track census, and coordinate with program teams to maintain a safe, supportive environment in bilingual, culturally competent services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree is a plus.
• Two years of experience with homeless or low-income populations.
• Current F-80 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the director with staff work schedules and assignments.
• Coordinate hourly house runs and ensure coverage during absences.
• Inspect facility and rooms; monitor safety and cleanliness.
• Track census and update CARES daily.
• Record incidents and perform crisis intervention.
• Maintain records of safety, fire, and building inspections.
• Assist with client intakes and referrals.
• Ensure proper distribution of metro cards per policy.

Education

Associate Degree in Social/Human Sciences, Psychology
