Job summary

SB ACT operates a growing portfolio of participant-facing community programs that connect individuals experiencing homelessness to services, stability, leadership opportunities, and long-term support.

The Community Services Manager provides direct participant services and program leadership for SB ACT’s community programs portfolio, initially maintaining an active DayHab caseload and helping participants identify goals and access resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum 5 years of relevant experience in human services, community programs, case management, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating community-based programs and participant services.
• Experience working directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioural health challenges, or other vulnerable populations preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with participants, community partners, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel between program locations throughout Santa Barbara County.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for SB ACT’s portfolio of participant-facing programs, including DayHab and related groups.
• Maintain an active DayHab caseload and help participants identify goals and access resources.
• Coordinate participant services with partner agencies and community providers.
• Develop, implement, and improve program workflows and participant experience.
• Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with funding and quality standards.
• Support expansion of DayHab and other community programs into additional locations.
