Job summary

Portfolio Resident Services Inc. in Texas seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to support residents in affordable housing communities. You will implement CORES certified resident services, focusing on skills, healthy living, and family development, while coordinating a monthly calendar of activities.

The ideal candidate works well independently, is organized, and enjoys serving the community. Availability 12–5pm, four days per week, with occasional evenings/weekends; familiarity with iPad apps

Qualifications

• 4 days per week, hours 12-5pm (Mon-Fri).
• Occasional evenings and weekends may be required (1-2 times per quarter).
• Relevant experience in education, social work, non-profit or related field.
• Experience with children, teens, adults and/or senior citizens.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with community and social service resources.
• Must attend quarterly team meetings (once per quarter).
• Comfortable using company-issued iPad and basic applications for communication, reporting, and program tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to residents and serve as the initial point of contact at the community center.
• Prepare reports based on the calendar, sign-in sheets, and the number of contracted program hours and activities offered each month.
• Design and post monthly calendars and updated flyers weekly to advertise activities on-site; distribute door-to-door.
• Oversee program offerings, recruit volunteers, solicit donations and work with community partners.
• Log communications with volunteers, community partners and donations; submit monthly log.
• Provide information about local resources or assistance within the community to residents.
• Engage residents in program planning and activities; communicate needs to personnel.
• Independently monitor, observe, and interact with residents of all ages.
• Maintain sign-in sheets for each activity and program offering.
• Monitor petty cash and replenish consumables; maintain organization of PRS materials.
