Job summary

Portfolio Resident Services is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to support residents in affordable housing communities. The role focuses on CORES-certified resident services, developing life skills, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-disciplined, and capable of working independently with a heart for the community. Availability for 3 days per week, 12–5pm, is required, with occasional evenings/weekends as duties demand.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 3 days per week; Hours are 12-5pm (Mon-Fri).
• Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required as duties demand.
• Experience in education, social work, non-profit or related field; volunteer experience considered.
• Experience with children, teens, adults and/or senior citizens in various capacities.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with community and social service resources.
• Available to attend quarterly team meetings (once per quarter).
• Comfortable using company-issued technology (iPad) and basic applications for communication, reporting, and program tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming atmosphere to residents and be the first contact at the community center.
• Prepare reports based on calendars and attendance.
• Design and post monthly calendars and on-site flyers; distribute door-to-door.
• Oversee programs, recruit volunteers, solicit donations, and partner with community partners.
• Log communications and monthly activity records.
• Inform residents about local resources.
• Support resident participation and communicate needs to staff.
• Monitor interactions with residents and maintain sign-in sheets.
