Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group seeks a Community Development Advisor for Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery in Lantana, FL. You will educate families on pre-need cemetery and funeral options, build trust, and guide informed planning decisions with professionalism and heart.

You will engage churches and community groups, conduct seminars, schedule 10–12 pre-need appointments weekly, and manage CRM activity while staying current on veteran benefits and end-of-life planning considerations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local cemetery and funeral regulations or willingness to learn.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time independently and prospect daily.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice partners, senior living communities, and other local organizations.
• Schedule and conduct educational preplanning seminars in alignment with NorthStar Memorial Group’s established program.
• Confidently set appointments and guide families through personalized preplanning and product presentations.
• Provide professional and welcoming park tours.
• Prospect daily through seminars, web leads, file reviews, outside events, and community outreach.
• Schedule 10–12 qualified pre-need appointments per week and track all activity in CRM.
• Respond to phone inquiries and follow up consistently and professionally.
• Maintain accurate, timely contract paperwork and required documentation.
• Track performance metrics and refine approach.
• Stay current on veteran benefits, Social Security benefits, and other end-of-life planning considerations.
• Deliver world-class service with a positive attitude and a “whatever it takes” mindset.
• Participate in ongoing training with sales and regional leadership.
