Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Community Development Advisor to generate pre-need sales across the assigned market. You will educate families, schedule appointments, present planning options, and conduct park tours while expanding relationships with churches and civic groups.

You will manage lead flow, track activities in CRM, and attend sales training to stay current on regulations and benefits related to cemetery and funeral services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of current federal, state and local regulations related to cemetery and funeral industry.

Responsibilities

• Actively builds relationships in the community to educate and guide families in their preplanning decisions.
• Excels in setting appointments, giving preplanning guide presentations, and product presentations.
• Provides professional park tours of each location within their area.
• Completes paperwork timely, neatly and accurately for contract processing.
• Tracks sales activity and metrics in CRM.
• Uses CRM to track all contacts and ensure follow-up.
• Contacts new and existing customers to discuss how products can meet needs.
• Prospects daily using multiple methods including cold calling, door knocking, mailers, seminars, and outside events.
• Provides world class customer service and a can-do attitude.
• Keeps current on veterans benefits, social security, end of life decisions, etc.
• Builds relationships with churches, civic groups, veterans organizations, hospice, senior living, etc., scheduling pre-planning seminars.
• Works multiple prospecting avenues per NorthStar's sales playbook.
• Schedules 10-12 Pre-Need appointments each week tracked in CRM.
• Answers inquiries about cemetery products and pre-need planning.
• Attends training programs scheduled with sales leaders.
