Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Community Development Advisor at Boza and Roel Funeral Home in Tampa, FL to lead pre-need planning initiatives for cemetery and funeral services. This role focuses on educating families, building trust, and guiding them through personalized options with compassion and professionalism.

You will schedule and conduct educational seminars, develop community relationships, and manage appointments while maintaining accurate records in CRM and contract paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to cemetery and funeral profession.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time independently and consistently prospect.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice partners, senior living communities, and other local organizations.
• Schedule and conduct educational preplanning seminars in alignment with NorthStar Memorial Group's program.
• Confidently set appointments and guide families through preplanning and product presentations.
• Provide professional and welcoming park tours.
• Prospect daily through seminars, company-provided web leads, file reviews, outside events, and community outreach.
• Schedule 10-12 qualified pre-need appointments per week and track activity in CRM.
• Respond to phone inquiries and follow up professionally.
• Maintain accurate contract paperwork and required documentation.
• Track performance metrics and refine approach.
• Stay current on veteran benefits and end-of-life planning considerations.
• Deliver world-class service with a positive attitude and a 'whatever it takes' mindset.
• Participate in ongoing training with sales and regional leadership.
