Job summary

Safe Harbor in Richmond, VA is seeking a Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator to lead recruitment, training, and engagement of volunteers while supporting outreach events. This in-office role requires trauma-informed service delivery and strong organizational skills.

You will maintain records, coordinate trainings, manage background checks, and report to the Senior Director of Development. The position offers PTO, holidays, benefits, and opportunities to collaborate across programs.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with multi-project management.
• Experience with Bloomerang or similar volunteer software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of issues related to sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Track volunteer hours, training, and survey data.
• Support planning and execution of community outreach events.
• Provide logistical support for trainings and events.
• Maintain volunteer records in databases.
• Represent Safe Harbor at meetings and events.
