SafePlace is seeking a Community Engagement Director to recruit, place, and supervise volunteers and interns, including practicum placements, partnering with the Executive Director to advance visibility and impact in Thurston County.

The role oversees training, compliance, and trauma-informed service delivery, collaborates with schools and community groups, and ensures effective budget and data management to support staff and program growth.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in social work, social services, criminal justice, or related field is required.
• Five years’ experience in a community-based organization or similar setting.
• Three years’ experience in supervision and personnel management.
• Five years’ experience in program management or development; strong public speaking/training capabilities.

• Recruit, place, and supervise volunteers and interns, including practicum placements.
• Partner with Executive Director and outreach staff to ensure SafePlace visibility in the Thurston County community.
• Coordinate with schools/universities to recruit and place interns, ensuring learning objectives are met.
• Ensure interns/volunteers are trained, onboarded, and supervised; maintain confidentiality and trauma-informed approach.
• Manage program compliance with contracts, service standards, and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with community groups for outreach, donations, and fundraisers; monitor data quality and outcomes.
