Job summary

Franklin Group in Maryland seeks a Community Manager to lead daily operations of a multifamily community, ensuring financial performance, leasing success and high resident satisfaction. You will supervise office and maintenance teams, enforce Fair Housing and safety policies, and manage budgets and reporting.

The role requires ensuring rent collection, coordinating maintenance and onboarding staff, while supporting a professional, compliant community environment and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or three to five years related experience.
• HUD experience required.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Resident Apartment Manager (RAM) designations are highly recommended; Fair Housing training within 1 day of hire; harassment and drug-free workplace training within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate the community within the approved budget and financial guidelines.
• Ensure rent collection and posting; issue 5-day notices and evictions.
• Supervise office staff and maintenance supervisor; oversee maintenance operations.
• Interview, hire and onboard all community staff; order uniforms and IDs.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct; ensure timely response to resident requests.
