Valiant Residential is seeking a Community Manager to supervise day-to-day operations at a Houston apartment community. You will implement company policies, manage staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires leadership, budgeting, and strong communication with residents and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of property management, CAM or similar credentials, and fluency in English (Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of property management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
• Able to manage budgets, leases, and vendor contracts.
• Capable of supervising on-site staff and leasing agents.
• Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Willing to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, orient, and train new personnel using company directives.
• Support staff to foster teamwork and maintain a harmonious environment.
• Determine transitions and promotions for on-site personnel.
• File reports for work-related injuries and incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of all community transactions and rents.
• Prepare annual budgets and income projections; ensure timely rent collections.
• Review, code, and approve vendor invoices and payments.
• Monitor bank deposits and daily cash handling.
• Ensure property is rented to full capacity and maintain make-ready units.
• Oversee leasing practices and compliance with laws and policies.
• Lead leasing staff to achieve strong closing results.
• Handle evictions and manage risk procedures; report safety issues.
• Maintain resident files and ensure property cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure timely maintenance responses and clear communication with residents.
