Job summary

Avanath seeks an experienced Community/Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily communities in the San Diego area. You will drive resident satisfaction, lead a team, and ensure financial health aligning with company goals and owners.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, rent rolls, occupancy targets, and capital projects while upholding Fair Housing, ADA, and local regulations. Strong leadership and communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in property management
• 2+ years as a community or property manager
• Proven ability to diffuse and respond to resident concerns without escalation
• Demonstrated leadership in a team environment
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to engage with senior executives
• Capable of working under tight time constraints
• Professional presentation and appearance
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email

Responsibilities

• Foster resident relations and deliver excellent customer service from move-in to move-out.
• Manage budgets, rent rolls, projections, and occupancy goals.
• Ensure 0% rent delinquency and timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate on-site operations, vendor relationships, and capital projects.
• Lead a high-performing team with regular feedback and development.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and local laws.
