Job summary

YES Communities in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community safe, organized, and well-maintained. You will perform preventative maintenance, handle service requests, inspect systems, and assist with home delivery/setup, collaborating with the Community Manager.

You will read meters, identify leaks, manage tools, ensure OSHA standards, and uphold safety while delivering timely service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool operation experience a plus
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus
• Proficiency with industry software and tablets

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on rental inventory and complete work orders
• Keep grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and free of debris
• Complete work in a timely manner while upholding safety standards
• Respond to after-hour calls according to on-call schedule
• Read water meters, identify and resolve leaks within the community
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment
• Assist with new home delivery and setup, report warranty work
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management
• Participate in team/safety meetings
• Operate and maintain company vehicles safely
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents
