Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Evans, CO to perform routine and preventative maintenance across the community. You will handle home repairs, grounds upkeep, and safety tasks while delivering excellent resident service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of maintenance or related experience; ability to lift 50 lbs and operate tools; valid driver’s license; able to work outdoors and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience in apartment/manufactured housing preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience (preferred) incl. plow truck.
• 6 months general maintenance knowledge & repair experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to uphold community properties.
• Complete repairs in rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation systems and maintain landscaping and grounds.
• Operate and maintain water meters, well-water systems, or sewer systems if applicable.
• Keep streets, common areas, and facilities clean and safe.
• Assist with supervising service contractors; support move-in inspections.
• Adhere to Sun's curb appeal standards and safety procedures.
