Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle service requests for our apartment community. You will engage residents with excellent customer service, support make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

You will work with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks, perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems work, and prepare vacant apartments. A valid driver's license and on-call rotation are required.

Qualifications

• Six months maintenance experience, preferably in apartments.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, II or Universal certification preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of apartment maintenance technical skills.
• Handle tile work, carpentry, make-ready tasks and safety.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests and vendors.
• Identify safety issues and correct or report them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and repairs as needed.
• Ensure upkeep of community appearance and replace lightbulbs.
• Record service data in Onesite for requests and make-readies.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, and notices.
