Job summary

The Salvation Army Ardmore Corps is seeking a Full Time Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals in a safe, presentable way. Duties include cooking, serving, and maintaining kitchen and dining room cleanliness in a busy program setting.

Responsibilities emphasize menu planning, inventory control, and coordinating with volunteers while ensuring food safety and timely service for large groups. A Food handlers’ card is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and three years’ experience cooking for large groups.
• Equivalent training and experience acceptable for the role.
• Food handlers’ card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus and purchase food and supplies for serving nutritional meals.
• Cook and prepare a variety of foods using kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Serve meals and prepare plates for infants or those needing assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas; store and rotate stock.
• Assist in inventory, ordering, and processing invoices for food purchases.
