Job summary

The Salvation Army Ardmore location is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and meal service in a busy kitchen environment. You will assist with washing, chopping, beverages, and snacks, while maintaining clean surfaces and proper storage practices.

Responsibilities include serving meals, stocking supplies, and assisting with kitchen/window duties. A valid driver’s license and one year kitchen experience are preferred; willingness to perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• One year kitchen experience preferred.
• Equivalent training/experience acceptable to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals, beverages and snacks.
• Serve meals with appropriate portions.
• Clean tables, chairs, kitchen equipment and storage areas.
• Stock food, beverages and supplies in an orderly manner.
• Drive a Salvation Army truck on scheduled routes to collect donated food items.
• Set up tables and chairs for groups; perform related duties as needed.
