Job summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a Part-Time Job Coach in Lorain, OH to support adults with developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful community employment. The role involves coaching, goal setting, resume writing assistance, and one-on-one training, in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate has prior Direct Support Professional experience or similar background, and will collaborate with the program team to promote inclusion and personal success across client services and community

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field preferred.
• Crisis intervention or similar experience may be beneficial for Level II/III growth.
• Effective computer literacy, including Windows, MS Office, and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate OhioGuidestone values and ethics while assisting clients.
• Build relationships to support employment goals in community settings.
• Develop coaching plans, set goals, teach job tasks, and support individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with career planning and resume writing; provide one-on-one job training.
• Prepare progress notes and maintain documentation and reporting.

Education

High School diploma required; Associate degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field preferred
