Job summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a Job Coach to work under the Program Manager, delivering compassionate, person-centered employment support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on skill development, independence and meaningful community employment, with DSP experience preferred.

You will build collaborative relationships, assess strengths, create coaching plans, and help clients access benefits while ensuring compliance and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or high-risk population.
• Crisis intervention training or experience preferred; ability to work with individuals with IDD in community-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered support to adults with IDD to obtain and maintain meaningful community employment.
• Develop coaching plans, assist with goal setting, teach job tasks and support individuals in skill development.
• Assist with resume writing, career planning and links to community resources and benefits.
