Job summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a compassionate Job Coach to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in developing skills and achieving community employment. You will work under supervision to create coaching plans, aid with goal setting, and help individuals gain independence and meaningful work.

Previous DSP experience or support for individuals with IDD is preferred. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, documentation, and client-centered service

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience as Direct Support Professional (DSP) or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with clients to support employment goals.
• Develop coaching plans and assist with goal setting.
• Provide one-on-one training to prepare for employment.
• Maintain participant records and progress notes daily.
• Educate clients on public benefits and potential employment impacts.

Education

HS diploma

Assoc/Higher in related field
