Job summary

OhioGuidestone seeks a Job Coach to provide compassionate, person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them develop skills, confidence, and independence for community employment while promoting inclusion and personal success.

Under supervision of the Program Manager, you will deliver one-on-one training, support resume development, and create coaching plans. Prior DSP experience is preferred; a valid Ohio driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience with individuals with IDD or high-risk populations (Level I).
• Education levels progress to Level II/III with more extensive experience and crisis intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative relationships with clients to support employment goals in community settings.
• Develop coaching plans and assist with goal setting, resume writing, and job tasks.
• Provide one-on-one training tailored to each individual's needs and maintain documentation.
