Job summary

OhioGuidestone in Ohio is seeking a compassionate Job Coach to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain meaningful community employment. You will work under supervision to develop coaching plans, assist with goal setting, and teach job tasks to support independence.

You will create individualized career plans, assist with resume development, and collaborate with employers to ensure successful placements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher in psychology, social work, human services, education or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or a high-risk population.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to document and coordinate supports clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative relationships with clients to support employment goals in community settings.
• Assist individuals by developing coaching plans, goal setting, and teaching job tasks.
• Develop individualized career plans and resume support; collaborate with employers and agencies to ensure successful placements.

Education

High school diploma
