Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by acquiring new business, cross-selling, and maintaining a strong book of business. The role involves in-person and phone-based sales with community engagement.

You will build a robust pipeline, develop community relationships, and stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition while meeting performance and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in sales or related field.
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline with local leads and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (dealerships, events, local partners) to support growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
