Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to generate new business, cross-sell to existing customers, and maintain a strong local book of business. This role sells in person and by phone, leveraging community ties and outside marketing to drive growth.

You will build a consistent pipeline, meet aggressive targets, and collaborate with leadership on local marketing initiatives, product knowledge, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing preferred or must attain licensure within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
