United Way Miami is hiring a Development Officer to cultivate relationships and drive fundraising initiatives across corporate, employee, and individual giving to support community health and education goals.

The role emphasizes public speaking, event leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance campaigns and donor engagement. A Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years’ experience in sales, marketing, fundraising, volunteer management or a related field.
• Intermediate Word; familiarity with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Andar.
• Strong public speaking and relationship-building skills.

Mansioni

• Lead campaign planning, volunteer recruitment, training, and management; solicit individuals and accounts; promote giving and volunteerism.
• Develop workplace program initiatives including information/referral and volunteer development.
• Collaborate with Major & Planned Gifts teams to identify prospects and solicit donors.
• Prepare team reports: summaries, goal setting, tracking in Andar, and call reports.
• Conduct public speaking sessions for organizations, events, and donors.
• Manage donor meetings and nurture relationships through ongoing communication.
• Oversee loaned executives assigned to the campaign team.
• Analyze data and implement fundraising reports in Andar to refine strategy.
• Coordinate with admin, marketing, and engagement teams.
• Manage an account portfolio with donor stewardship and communications.
