Roots Community Health Center is seeking a Program Events Coordinator to support Family Health Programs by coordinating programmatic events that promote health, wellness, and community well-being.

This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to ensure successful events that uplift individuals and families affected by inequities, advancing health equity through accessible, community-centered services.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years related experience required or equivalent
• Experience working in a nonprofit or community health setting preferred
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds across departments
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with strong analytical and writing abilities
• Strong project and event management skills including planning, time management, multitasking, prioritization, and deadlines
• Knowledge of event logistics, safety standards, customer service, equipment, and setup procedures
• Ability to guide, support, and solve problems for team members, vendors, and stakeholders
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to crises during events
• Collaborate across departments while working independently with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to meet changing event and organizational needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Google Workspace preferred
• On-site work up to full-time during high activity

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and schedule all logistical details for community events across multiple sites
• Maintain RSVP information and manage registration areas during events
• Coordinate and support on-site execution, ensuring setup and teardown run smoothly
• Provide guidance to staff during event setup including equipment, furniture, and signage
• Support event logistics with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for timely delivery
• Ensure compliance with event safety standards and address safety concerns
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues during events
• Collaborate with leads to address questions and provide guidance
• Ensure effective communication within teams to foster a positive environment
• Support additional event-related work as needed
