Job summary

Roots Community Health Center seeks an Program Events Coordinator to partner with the Associate Director in promoting health, wellness, and community well-being through well-organized events across multiple sites.

The role requires coordinating logistics, managing registrations, and ensuring on-site success while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to advance health equity and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience in nonprofit or community health settings preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong project and event management abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule all logistical details for community events across multiple sites.
• Manage RSVP information and registration areas.
• Support on-site execution of events, including setup and teardown.
• Provide guidance and support to staff during event setup.
• Coordinate with event vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Ensure compliance with event safety standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues during events.
• Collaborate with leads to address questions and provide guidance.
• Foster effective communication within teams and departments.
• Support other event-related tasks as needed.
