Job summary

AWS is seeking a Community Engagement Manager based in Atlanta to lead community-first initiatives that positively impact local communities and brand reputation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Georgia and beyond, driving sustained programs and measurable outcomes.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with residents, civic leaders, nonprofit partners, and local organizations, while ensuring responsible communication and strong program leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience.
• Experience building relationships with internal and external partners.
• Experience communicating impact to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with community stakeholders, including residents, civic leaders, elected officials, nonprofit partners, and local organizations.
• Lead strategy development and execution of community engagement plans for major development projects across the region.
• Manage community investments and partnerships, ensuring alignment with Amazon's community pillars and measurable local impact.
• Design and execute signature events and programs, and set the vision for sustainable community engagement initiatives with a high bar for quality.
• Own internal and external communications for community engagement programs and represent Amazon publicly across multiple channels.
• Serve as the point of contact for community centric issues, proactively identifying and addressing concerns that pose reputational risk to Amazon.
• Lead community assessments for new sites, identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and scale programming as the business grows.
• Capture and report data demonstrating the quantified and qualified impact of community engagement, and communicate results internally and externally.
• Partner with cross functional teams including engineering, operations, real estate, energy, water, sustainability, construction, legal, public policy, and public relations.
• Be physically present in the community and get work done on the ground when required.
