Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Community Engagement Manager to lead InCommunities initiatives for the AWS Data Center Community in the America Central region. The role is based in Chicago or Columbus, OH and supports business across the region, with a focus on sustained community impact.

You will manage strategic community programs, partner with stakeholders, and drive initiatives that strengthen AWS presence as a good neighbor across communities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional or military experience.
• 10+ years of public policy, government relations, or related fields.
• Experience supporting major infrastructure development projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development and bespoke execution of Community Engagement for major projects.
• Lead a region-wide team of community engagement managers.
• Design and execute InCommunites events and programs with a high quality standard.
• Communicate impact of InCommunities programs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as region's Issues leader addressing reputational risks.
• Support community assessment for new sites and mitigate risks.
• Capture data showing quantified/qualitative impact of engagement.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, real estate, energy, sustainability and legal teams.
• Be on the ground in locations and get work done when required.
