Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Community Engagement Manager to lead community first initiatives across Texas, based in Houston or Austin. The role requires diving deep to support the AWS business and manage community programs that deliver lasting impact.

The position emphasizes strategy development, stakeholder engagement, events, and communications, with responsibilities spanning cross‑functional coordination and data-driven impact reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals.
• Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
• Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.
• Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps.
• Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on external issues management and community relations around Data Center Infrastructure.
• Lead strategy development and execute community engagement plans for major development projects across the region.
• Design and execute signature events and programs.
• Set the vision for sustainable community engagement initiatives across the region.
• Own internal and external communications for community engagement programs and represent AWS publicly.
• Lead community assessments for new sites in the region and develop proactive engagement plans to mitigate risks.
• Capture and report data demonstrating impact and communicate results internally and externally.
• Partner with cross-functional teams — engineering, operations, real estate, energy, water, sustainability, construction, legal, public policy, and public relations.
