Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager, External Engagement, AWS Economic Development to develop and execute external engagement strategies in the Seattle region and beyond. You will connect with civic leaders, local government officials, business organizations, and community stakeholders to strengthen Amazon's role as a trusted partner.

In this role you’ll build relationships, plan events, and represent Amazon across the region.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 7+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute external engagement strategies that advance Amazon's community presence through partnerships and stakeholder relationships connected to targeted goals and deliverables
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, civic associations, local government officials, and opinion leaders across your assigned region
• Plan and coordinate events that bring together community stakeholders, business leaders, and Amazon representatives to strengthen local partnerships
• Collaborate across teams to influence decisions through community intelligence and stakeholder insights
• Create engagement plans, regional assessments, and community impact summaries for leadership review
• Travel throughout the assigned region to meet with community leaders, attend events, and maintain a visible presence across local stakeholder groups

Education
