Job summary

Rosecrance Ware Center – Rockford, IL seeks an Engagement Specialist to provide outreach and mobile crisis response within the community, engaging individuals hesitant to access behavioral health services.

You will support design and evaluation of crisis solutions, advocate professionally, and maintain thorough documentation. Onsite role with potential CRSS credentialing and strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or higher education.
• Must hold RSA designation (DMH) as minimal credential.
• Willingness to be a role model for recovery.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis response services in the community when dispatched.
• Engage individuals hesitant to interact with professionals through trust-building and resource provision.
• Participate in design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
• Advocate for individuals with professionalism and a collaborative, non-confrontational approach.
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals experiencing adverse mental health conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and Rosecrance services.
• Provide clients with tailored resources and referrals as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of documentation.
• Participate in CRSS credential training if applicable.
• Attend scheduled meetings and be an active team member.
• Facilitate transportation of clients to Rosecrance buildings or hospitals.
• Contribute to collaborative care within the clinical team.
