Job summary

Rosecrance Walnut – Champaign, IL is seeking an Engagement Specialist to provide mobile crisis response and engagement services within the community. You will work with a clinical team to connect individuals to behavioral health resources, uphold confidentiality, and support crisis solutions with a compassionate approach.

The role supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis services, with opportunities to pursue CRSS credential and to participate in statewide trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RSA designation (DMH) required.
• Willingness to serve as a role model for recovery.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Commitment to Rosecrance mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis response services in the community when dispatched.
• Engage individuals hesitant to interact with behavioral health professionals.
• Participate in design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
• Advocate for individuals with professional and collaborative approach.
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with mental health needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and Rosecrance services.
• Provide referrals to additional treatment resources when needed.
• Complete all required documentation on time.
• Pursue CRSS credential if applicable.
• Attend meetings and participate in team activities.
• Facilitate transportation of clients to Rosecrance facilities or hospitals.
