Job summary

Rosecrance Walnut – Champaign, IL is seeking an Engagement Specialist to provide mobile crisis response services and engage with individuals to improve access to behavioral health resources. The role emphasizes trust-building, collaboration, and crisis solution design within a community setting.

As part of a team, you will advocate for clients, connect them to Rosecrance services, complete timely documentation, and pursue CRSS credential opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or higher education required.
• Must hold a minimum DMH designation of RSA (Rehabilitative Services Associate).
• Willingness to serve as a role model for recovery.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis response services in the community when dispatched.
• Engage individuals hesitant to interact with behavioral health professionals or first responders through trust-building and resource provision.
• Participate in design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
• Advocate for individuals with professionalism and a collaborative approach.
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with adverse mental health conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and Rosecrance services.
• Provide referrals to additional treatment resources when necessary.
• Follow up with clients and families and document promptly.
