Job summary

Rosecrance Walnut – Champaign, IL seeks an Engagement Specialist to provide mobile crisis response and engagement services in the community, ensuring access to behavioral health resources and crisis solutions. The role emphasizes trust-building, referrals, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, RSA designation, and a valid driver’s license. The position offers onsite work with a 2nd shift schedule and opportunities for CRSS

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or higher education.
• Must hold a DMH RSA designation (Rehabilitative Services Associate).
• Willingness, ability, and commitment to serve as a role model for recovery.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis response services in the community when dispatched.
• Engage individuals hesitant to interact with behavioral health professionals or first responders.
• Participate in design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
• Advocate for individuals with professionalism and collaboration.
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with adverse mental health conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and Rosecrance services.
