Rosecrance Ware Center – Rockford, IL seeks an Engagement Specialist to provide outreach and mobile crisis response, ensuring access to behavioral health services within the community. You will engage individuals hesitant to interact with professionals and help design crisis solutions alongside the team.

The role supports advocacy, resource delivery, and tailored referrals while upholding confidentiality and professional standards. Training for CRSS credential may be pursued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher education.
• RSA (Rehabilitative Services Associate) designation.
• Willingness to be a role model for recovery.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile crisis response services in the community when dispatched.
• Engage individuals hesitant to interact with behavioral health professionals through trust-building and resources.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
• Advocate for individuals with professionalism and a collaborative approach.
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals experiencing adverse mental health conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and Rosecrance services.
• Provide clients with referrals to additional treatment resources when needed.
• Complete required documentation within designated timeframes.
• Participate in CRSS credential training and statewide events as applicable.
• Attend team and staff meetings and contribute as an integral team member.
• Facilitate transportation of clients to Rosecrance buildings or hospitals as needed.
