Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a Community Concierge to greet members, answer inquiries, process transactions, and help people discover programs and services.

You will support facility operations, maintain supplies, and collaborate with leaders to ensure spaces are clean and welcoming, while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Earned high school degree or GED.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged.
• Answer phone and email inquiries.
• Actively manage customer transactions.
• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times.
• Anticipate individuals needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Community Concierge team members serve as the face of the Y and support a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will actively interact and engage with community members, provide solutions and offerings, and support them in discovering opportunities at the YMCA.

• Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
• Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
• Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
• Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
