Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a friendly Community Concierge to greet members, answer inquiries, actively manage customer transactions, and help guests discover YMCA programs and services on-site in Palatine, IL. This role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred to support our diverse community and ensure an inclusive

Responsibilities

• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times.
• Anticipate individuals needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Community Concierge team members serve as the face of the Y and support a best-in-class experience for our customers. You will actively interact and engage with community members, provide solutions and offerings, and support them in discovering opportunities at the YMCA.

Essential Job Requirements & Duties

• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times
• Anticipate individuals needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
• Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children

• Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
