Job summary

City of Canton is seeking a Community Center Manager for the Edward “Peel” Coleman Center. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate programs, and manage rental agreements with strong emphasis on customer service and safety.

The role reports to the Recreation Superintendent, with a 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM shift, Monday to Friday and occasional evening/weekend work. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and have a good command of the English language.
• Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate community programming and rental activities.
• Experience supervising staff and managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Edward “Peel” Coleman Community Center.
• Facilitate rental agreements from start to finish and manage programming initiatives.
• Supervise and manage all Community Center staff members.
• Monitor customer service, membership servicing, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Recreation Superintendent on budgets, capital projects, and policies.
