Job summary

The City of McKinney seeks an experienced Recreation Center Manager to oversee daily operations, staff and a diverse schedule of programs. Under the Recreation Superintendent, you will plan, implement and evaluate services to meet community needs while managing the center’s budget and revenue reporting.

You will recruit and train staff, coordinate events, ensure safety and quality, and work with marketing to promote programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with course work emphasis in Recreation Administration; supplemented by three (3) years previous experience and/or training that includes recreation administration and supervision.
• Cardiopulmonary Rescue and First Aid Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, promotes and conducts a comprehensive leisure program at the recreation center.
• Schedules use of recreation center facilities for classes, special events or private rentals.
• Prepares and maintains management reports and records regarding programs and services.
• Develops and presents reports to various audiences internally and externally.
