Life Unlimited, Inc. is seeking an Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in identifying an appropriate job goal and helping them obtain and maintain competitive, community-based employment.

You will work with employers and participants to develop job readiness, liaise with service teams, and document progress in Therap. You will attend planning meetings, coordinate transportation, provide on-the-job coaching, and develop supports to promote independence and successful

Competenze

• Four years of comparable experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English - both in writing and orally.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
• Must obtain a Class E driver's license during new hire orientation with required insurance.

Mansioni

• Attend planning meetings for all assigned individuals, including Vocational Rehabilitation and DMH participants.
• Transports program individuals, when related to vocational activities per supervisor approval.
• Coaches individuals on new job tasks and helps them adapt to workplace culture and expectations.
• Collaborates with employers and coworkers to identify needed accommodations and training methods.
• Works with individuals to learn new work tasks and develop natural supports on-site.
• Develops job aids and task analyses to support ongoing success and independence.
• Develops community-based program assessment and placement sites through networking.
• Shares community contacts and job leads with teammates.
• Maintains timely documentation of services in Therap and according to policy.
• Demonstrates HIPAA-compliant, person-centered approaches in vocational planning.
