employU is seeking an Employment Specialist to create and implement individualized plans to help customers find jobs that fit their goals and commute. The role emphasizes coaching, job search facilitation, and ongoing support throughout placement.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on empowering clients in the disability community. Office-based duties include local travel and collaboration with team members.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• No experience necessary; experience with individuals with a disability preferred.
• Open availability; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes area MOU campaigns and develops new business relationships.
• Supervises, trains and assists Job Coaches; monitors work hours.
• Searches for OJT opportunities matching customer interests and distance.
• Assists customers with applications and assessments as needed.
• Helps customers prepare for interviews and develop resumes; coaching on interviewing skills.
• Maintains regular contact with customers and documents progress in the database.
