Life Unlimited in Missouri seeks an Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in identifying a job goal and helping them obtain competitive, community-based employment.

You will coordinate planning meetings, transport clients, train on job tasks, collaborate with employers, and develop job aids and supports. Travel and HIPAA compliance are part of the role, with reporting duties and regular caseload meetings.

Qualifications

• Four years of comparable experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in writing and orally.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
• Must obtain a Class E driver's license during new hire orientation and maintain required auto insurance coverage.

Responsabilités

• Attend planning meetings for assigned individuals, including Vocational Rehabilitation and DMH.
• Transport program individuals to vocational activities as directed.
• Assist individuals with job tasks and understanding work culture and employer expectations.
• Collaborate with employers and coworkers to determine training methods and accommodations.
• Assist individuals in identifying and developing natural supports at the work site.
• Develop job aids, task analyses, and other tools to foster independence.
• Document services within required timelines and maintain HIPAA-compliant communications.
• Write reports accurately within established timeframes.
• Meet weekly with caseload to work on vocational planning and job search activities.
