Opportunities Unlimited LLC is seeking a Supported Employment Specialist/Job Coach-Developer to provide individualized employment services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This community-based role supports clients in identifying career goals, preparing for employment, developing job opportunities, learning job tasks, building workplace relationships, and maintaining competitive, integrated employment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in job development or related support work is required.
• Experience with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in human services preferred.
• Current CPR certification required by the first day of client service.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.
• Flexible schedule based on client and employer needs, including community-based appointments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and email; reliable computer skills.
• Ability to produce detailed progress notes and service documentation.
• Smartphone required for scheduling and communication.
• State-certified to provide job development/coaching or willing to complete paid training.
• Commitment to remain in the position for at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, person-centered relationships with clients and identify goals and preferred work environments.
• Provide job readiness support (resume development, applications, interviews, professional communication).
• Conduct job development by researching employers, contacting businesses, meeting with hiring managers, and advocating opportunities.
• Support onboarding and transition into competitive, integrated employment settings.
• Provide individualized on-site job coaching with task analysis and strategies to promote independence.
• Collaborate with employers to support successful job integration and natural supports.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services, progress notes, schedules, and billing information.
